WHAT WE DO
Through an efficient treatment of the organic waste from the meat packing plant, we promote a circular economy and contribute to the sustainable development.
We have a biodigester of over 5000 m³ which produces the required amount of biogas to fuel a cogeneration engine.
This engine generates absolutely renewable thermal energy and electrical energy. With a maximum power of 1.5 MW/h, we supply the energy demand of 7 thousands inhabitants.
Furthermore, as a result of the biodigester process, we make organic fertilizer rich in nutrients, which improves the quality of the soil.
In turn, we make good use of the thermal energy for the process of biogas generation and for other production processes of the meat-packing plant.
CERTIFIED PROCESSES
We have the certification of the ISO Standard 14001 which is internationally recognized for the Environmental Management System (EMS).
HISTORY
We are pioneers in the meat-packing industry since we set up the first biogas plant which transforms organic waste from the beef production into renewable energy.
2016
2017
2018
We were born as part of the strategy of Arrebeef to be more sustainable . We developed a project and submitted it as a tender proposal to the Argentine program RenovAr, which promotes the generation of electrical energy based on renewable sources
2017
2018
2019
We were awarded the tender contract in the second edition of the program, and committed ourselves to stock the Argentine electricity grid with at least 7.200 MW of renewable energy per year, for a time period of 20 years.
2018
2019
2021
We had the work started and managed to have our plant built a year later, overcoming the adversities that the COVID-19 pandemic had caused.
2019
2021
2022
On July 8th, we received the authorization of the Argentine Electricity Wholesale Market Management Company (CAMMESA for its Spanish acronym), which made us become a new generator of renewable energy of the Argentina electricity market.
2021
2022- 2024
2025
Three years, a better future
In this short period of time, we made challenges into opportunities, generated renewable energy and contributed to a more sustainable world.
